Is Nikocado Avocado suitable for children?

This is an OPINIONATED view based on the suitability of Nikocado Avocado for kids.

Overall Rating

Content of a man eating large amounts of food and getting progressively overweight as time goes on. Not suitable for kids at all in my opinion.

Suitability Rating

Nikocado Avocado is suitable for adults only and even then, that’s a push. His content can be described as “Mukbang” which means eating large portions of food whilst broadcasting / talking about it. This seems to be the main content of his channel. He often does videos with other people, who could be described as morbidly obese.

Looking back at his oldest videos he does the exact same things he’s doing now - eating lots of food. However as time went on, his weight started to balloon to dangerously unhealthy levels. In a fairly recent video, at the end after eating some spicy noodles, he admits to soiling himself. Not a great role model for children in my opinion.

I’m not saying Mukbang is unsuitable, it's more the eating yourself to death that bothers me. Stuff like this can be very damaging to young children and even adults. I don’t want my daughter to have an eating disorder, end of.

However in a strange plot twist, he takes a hiatus and then comes back having lost all the weight he put on. He’s now documenting his weight loss and loose skin removal surgery. I’m glad he’s lost the weight, but there’s not a chance in hell I'd ever let my daughter watch any of his content.

Annoyance Rating

Nikocado Avocado’s content is different to most of the classic loud and shouty YouTubers. His content largely consists of him eating food, so there’s very little of anything that your kids are used to. His content isn’t annoying, the best way to put it really.

Merchandise and Sponsorships

Nikocado Avocado does have a merch website - It's just water weight dot com. Sells the usual stuff such as t-shirts, hoodies and hats. With a few designs saying “I identify as skinny” and “It’s just water weight”. There’s no way I’d let my kid go anywhere near this.
